For today’s @dailyshoot (2010-01-24: Experiment with shutter speed today by making a photo with a long exposure. #ds70).
I used a few candles in a darkened room, and a 15 sec exposure time (hopefully that counts as “long”). I also quickly flashed my LED flashlight behind the bottle in the middle of the exposure, to illuminate the background a bit. I noticed the 2 colors of light did a pretty good job of confounding the auto-white balance…

I’ve had this plant for months and finally got around to potting it today.
As a bonus, my procrastination paid off as I finished at sunset and realized it would be a good subject for today’s @dailyshoot (2010-01-10: Silhouettes are an interesting way to abstract a subject. Make a photo featuring a silhouetted subject today. #ds56)
